The Interim Prime Minister

The One Man Cabinet

The most concise explanation of what happened?
There was a coup attempt in the name of Tun M against the government of Tun M that was prevented by Tun M through the resignation of Tun M as PM followed by the appointment of Tun M to be interim PM. Meanwhile everybody else lost their ministerial positions except Tun M.🤔

Proverbs 21
1
The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD; he directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases.
2
All a man's ways seem right to him, but the LORD weighs the heart.
3
To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.
4
Haughty eyes and a proud heart, the lamp of the wicked, are sin!
5
The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.
I believe there is a reason for this season, even it means a one-man Cabinet.

PUTRAJAYA: Interim Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad (pic) left his first day of work at 5.45pm on Tuesday with the country no closer to escaping its current political turmoil.
The visibly tired 94-year-old did not stop to speak to about 60 media workers who have been waiting outside his office since 8am.
Instead, he shared his usual cheeky smile, followed by a quick wave as he departed for home with a large security detail.

On Tuesday, it was a one-man show for Dr Mahathir in running the Government, after his unexpected resignation on Monday placed the country into unknown territory with no ministers or deputies still in the administration.

He spent the better part of his day meeting political party leaders since clocking in at 9am.
Among them were Gabungan Parti Sarawak’s Datuk Patinggi Abang Openg, Bersatu’s Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, PKR’s Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, DAP’s Lim Guan Eng and Amanah’s Mohamad Sabu.
He also met with PAS President Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang and will meet with independent MP Datuk Seri Azmin Ali.
In a statement earlier from the Prime Minister’s Office, it is understood Dr Mahathir will clock in as usual today (Wednesday) and is expected to meet with more party leaders, including Warisan President Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal. On Monday, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong accepted Dr Mahathir’s resignation as the seventh Prime Minister, but re-appointed him as the interim PM until a successor is named.
The Agong is interviewing the country’s federal lawmakers to determine who among them commanded the support of the majority needed to become the Prime Minister.
Meanwhile, political sources said Dr Mahathir is trying to form a national unity government under his personal authority, drawing together rival parties.
Dr Mahathir proposed the idea of a grand coalition at meetings Tuesday with leaders of major political parties, including Anwar, and those he defeated in the election, four political sources with knowledge of the matter said.
“It appears that Dr Mahathir is poised to form the government,” one source said.
“There won’t be any political entity. We might be a government of no parties.”

The sources declined to be identified because they were not authorised to speak to media.

Dr Mahathir’s office made no immediate comment on the plan.
“He is the person most likely to be the next Prime Minister,” said Democratic Action Party parliamentarian Ong Kian Ming.
Parties across the board rallied to say they would support Dr Mahathir’s return as full-time Prime Minister, with Anwar’s the only major party not to offer a public endorsement.
No one has publicly staked a claim to be Prime Minister.
The realignment could give Dr Mahathir greater authority than even during a previous spell as Prime Minister from 1981 until his retirement in 2003, during which he is credited with turning a farming backwater into an industrial nation.
“He has total freedom to decide as he pleases,” said Ibrahim Suffian, director of pollster Merdeka Centre.
Two of the sources said Dr Mahathir’s resignation meant a pre-election promise to hand power to Anwar was no longer valid.
The former medical doctor returned as Prime Minister after the 2018 election defeat of Datuk Seri Najib Razak, ringing down the curtain on more than six decades of rule by the party he had once led.
“Just another day in the office,” Dr Mahathir said on his official Twitter account, accompanied by photographs of him reading papers at the prime ministerial desk.
Malaysia’s constitution provides that any lawmaker who can command a majority in Parliament can stake a claim to form a government, which must then be approved by the King.
The palace said the King would hold individual interviews with all 222 elected Members of Parliament’s lower house on Tuesday and today (Wednesday), to assess who was likely to succeed.
Lawmakers leaving the palace said they been given a form on which to indicate their choice of Prime Minister, or whether they would prefer parliament to be dissolved.
The political crisis comes at a particularly bad time for the Malaysian economy, after growth fell to a decade low in last year’s final quarter.
The stock market recovered slightly on Tuesday from an eight-year low hit the previous day, while the currency also rose after having hit its lowest in nearly six months.
Dr Mahathir had been due to unveil on Thursday a stimulus package to soften the economic fallout from a coronavirus outbreak.
Dr Mahathir and Anwar formed the Pakatan Harapan coalition to defeat the United Malays National Organisation (Umno) and its Barisan Nasional alliance in 2018.
Anwar had been Dr Mahathir’s deputy before the latter arrested and jailed him in the late 1990s for sodomy and corruption, charges that Anwar and his supporters maintain were aimed at ending his political career.

Lee Chong Wei's Legendary Farewell

To all my family friends and fans. To everyone of you who have been a part of my life, thank you. A real big sincere thank you.

Months ago, all of you knew I had cancer. I fought it. And I thought I fought it well. I thought I could try one more time.

I am just someone who love to play badminton. Someone who love my country. I feared of retiring with regrets. I was scared of not delivering that elusive Olympic gold for Malaysia. So when I was cleared of cancer, I took up my racquet and trained once again.

After few days of light training, I wanted to get clearanyce from my doctor to heighten my training intensity, then i was dealt a major blow. From that scan, doctor shook his head and said i might face the risk of recurrence if I continue to train. Mew Choo crumbled crying. She feared i might be stubborn and continue to pursue my dream.

I was at loss. I thought “How am I supposed to hang up my racket after nearly twenty years of competitive badminton?, “ How about my Olympic dreams?”

At home, i kept myself occupied with my two sons, Kingston and Terrence. I bathed them, I fed them, I taught them badminton. I spent time with them. Most importantly, I really watched them grew up.

Then it struck me to finally make up my mind. I shouldn’t be so selfish. I have played for myself, I have played for my country. This time, I want to play the role of a father, for long long time. I want to see them grow up to be proper men, to get married, to have kids. I want to take care of my wife when she is old too.

So Yes, I have made my decision to quit. I’m sorry that I couldn’t make it to Tokyo this time around. And I’m sorry I didn’t deliver an Olympic gold. But I know I’ve no regrets as I’ve tried my best. My very best.

I hope my name Lee Chong Wei has inspired you all one way or another, same like the way you guys inspired me. Without my family, my teammates, my coaches, and my supporters, I won’t achieve anything.

To my fellow badminton players like the Lin Dans, the Taufiks, the Peter Gades, and Hyun ills. Yup, my time is up. Thank you for the great battles we had. As amazing as it is, i think our era should be coming to an end now. Momota, Victor, Yuqi and Zi Jia, do hold the fort well. Make the world realise badminton is the best sport on earth.

To fellow Malaysian shuttlers, don’t give up the dream. Please remember there are actually thousands of Malaysians praying for your success. Train harder everyday. Always beat yesterday’s training records. Also, a sportsman life is short. Don’t end with regrets. There is actually a young 5 years old Ali, Muthu or Ah Meng idolising you, making you their Malaysian superhero. Don’t disappoint them. Play for the flag, play for Negaraku.

I had no regrets. When i started playing badminton, all I wanted to do is to represent Malaysia. And I believed I did it with pride and honour.

Well. I’m done. Thank you very much to all of you. Lee Chong Wei signing out.

GE14 - a Story

It was supposed to be a dull election.
People were having political fatigue.
1MDB scandals had gone stale.
Support for Najib was at its peak within UMNO.
ROS torpedoed the registration of Pakatan Harapan and made Bersatu illegal.
It was all looking too good to be true for Najib.

Then came April 10.
SPR dropped the bombshell by announcing a Wednesday polling day on May 9.
All hell broke loose.
Even BN parties seemed to have been caught off guard.
Top BN leadership failed to come up with any justification.
The only lame one came from a hired-gun named Eric See-to.

SPR's surprise announcement managed to wake everyone up from their slumber.
Everyone started condemning SPR's unjustifiable decision.
Many accused SPR trying to reduce voters turnout.
Others accused SPR of trying to keep BN in power.

Meanwhile..Traffic on airline websites shot through the roof within minutes.
Tickets for buses and trains were snapped up by angry and eager voters.
Frantic calls were made.
WhatsApp groups were created.
Discussions went wild on social media.
The Game was officially started.

In the midst of anger..
People were coming together in defiance of SPR's decision.
They have one common goal, to get outstation voters back home and vote.
Crowd sourcing for funds.
Mix-matching for carpool.
Campaign for cheaper flight tickets.

Within the next few days..
More than RM200,000 were raised and disbursed.
Donor-recipient matching and carpool platform were set up.
Charted buses were sponsored by organizations.
Airlines decided to cap their ticket price.

What was supposed to be a boring election came to life.Stories of generosity acts were shared on social media and WA groups.
Meanwhile, there was deafening silence in SPR and the ruling camp.
Their strategy seemingly backfired.
RABU quickly transformed into Rabu Akan Buang UMNO.

Nomination Day came and went.
Careless mistakes were seen.
Arbitrary rules were enforced.
Court judgment not adhered to.
Candidates went bankrupt overnight.
The cheating continued.

Campaign period was officially in effect.
Ceramahs were held everyday.
On one end, lucky draws and door gifts were abundant.
On the other end, donation boxes were being passed around.
Crowd turnout does not necessary translate into votes they say.

Hidup Najib!
Hidup BN!
Hidup Pakatan!
Hidup Tun!
There were much living going around.

Exodus started as early as Friday night.
Highways started jamming up.
Causeway immigration were on full strength. It's like an extra balik kampung trip for many.
Campaigning came to a halt at the stroke of midnight.

It's polling day!
Voters started to queuing as early as 7.
New procedures were causing unnecessary delays.
Some were stuck in the queue for hours but they persevere.
There’s no stopping the tidal wave that was the will of the people.

As polling centers closed, vote counting began.
Unofficial results started to trickle in.
Both coalitions were neck and neck.
The so-called "Kingmaker" was trailing far behind.
It was clear that East Malaysia was no longer a fixed deposit.

One by one, big names staSome were stuck in the queue for hours but they persevere.
There’s no stopping the tidal wave that was the will of the people.

It was clear that East Malaysia was no longer a fixed deposit.

One by one, big names started to fall.
Top BN leadership were almost wiped out.
Party presidents, ministers, deputy ministers.
Even though the caretaker PM and his deputy survived.
It was a massacre.

It was a different story for PH.
Their top leaders defeated their respective opponents.
Most of them with bigger majority.
Their PM-designate overcame 11k deficit with much to spare.
Things were looking up.

Suddenly, the results stop coming in.
Rumors and speculations were rife.
Complaints of EC officers refusing to sign their forms.
It was fast approaching midnight.
Something was clearly amiss.

At midnight, PH claimed they have won simple majority.
SPR claimed they were still waiting for results.
One by one, more states changed hands.
The writing was on the wall.
The mighty Beast has fallen after six decades.

It was never a Malay Tsunami.
It was never a Chinese Tsunami.
It was never an Indian Tsunami.
It was a Malaysian Tsunami.
A Tsunami made possible by 12,299,514 voters.

Everyone knew there would be rampant cheating.
Everyone knew which side SPR is on.
Everyone knew mainstream media would be biased.
Everyone knew they would try every trick up their sleeves.
Everyone knew who we were dealing with.

No one expected voters to turn up on a Wednesday.
No one expected voters would queue up for hours.
No one expected that much distaste for Najib and Co.
No one expected what happened in East Malaysia.
No one expected to find the Reset button on Malaysia.

It was a new day when results were made official.
It was a new dawn for Malaysia.
It was uncharted territory for the nation.
It was earth shattering.
It was amazing.

That's not just the smell of fresh air.
That's the smell of freedom.
Take it in slowly and taste it.
May 9 will go down into history,
as the day we achieved Merdeka all over again.

PRAYER ALERT:

The following is from Bishop Hwa Yung

Although official results are not fully in, partly because some SPR officers are delaying signing off on the results, Pakatan Harapan & its Sabah ally, Warisan, has won an overwhelming electoral victory in GE14. Can we urge all of us to get our networks to really pray through the next 24 hours for the following:

1. First, that all those in authority will act responsibly to accept the results of the election and help work towards a smooth transition in the government; and that all hanky-panky attempts to change any results will be stopped or hindered from being effective.

2. Second, please pray that the Lord who is sovereign over our nation will pour His SHALOM, His peace, upon our land. Pray that the fear of God will envelop the whole nation so that evil men or women, as well as demonic powers that seeks to bring civil disorder and violence will be restrained. Remember Eph 6:12.

3. Pray that everyone, Christians included, will be responsible and sensitive so as not to provoke those who have been identified with BN. We should therefore avoid sending out offensive and provocative messages, photos and videos, or anything else that may be inflammatory in the present political context.

There will be other things that the Lord will lay in your hearts to pray for. But do activate your networks and urge them to take our responsibility to pray for the nation's welfare seriously. We must, as Paul reminds us, "Pray without ceasing!" (1 Thess 5:17)

Fr Pr Daniel Ho
Urgent!!!

Friends, crucial time right now to pray for our nation! High level spiritual warfare to be waged and are being waged in Sabah and across West Malaysia! Please pray hard! Please pass word on. Thanks
Join in this prayer :

Heavenly Father, Sovereign God, We pray against spirits of manipulation, hatred, anger, intimidation and violence that intend to manipulate the emotion and minds of people in this land tonight. We ask of you to speak into the minds of every single person now.

We bring our caretaker PM Dato Sri Najib before Your throne of Grace. Protect him from evil forces; help him to humbly accept the election results as the people of Malaysia have made our choices.

Lord Jesus, seal your stamp on the official acknowledgment of the final results of our Malaysian national election! Let no man, no devil stand in Your way. Your Kingdom of power come to Malaysia right now. Your will be done and be brought to full completion till the very end. In Your great grace, do not leave this nation hanging in the middle of nowhere. Let peace be restored into our nation for Your name's sake. We cry to You Abba Father in Jesus Name. Amen!!

Winds of Change leading to Rebirth of Malaysia - The Journey

https://www.malaysiakini.com/news/413072

This is the journey of transformation for the rebirth of Malaysia on 10 May 2018. GE 14 held on 9 May 2018 was a historical event.

In short, the world named MO1 as Kleptocrat, we never know that word until he was named as such. kleptocrat means stealing money from the money for his own gains. Yet, none of YBs and Heads of Departments did or say anything towards it.

History made today.
1. Breaking 61 Years of single party rule.
2. The oldest MP - 92 years old.
3. The youngest MP - 22 years old.
4. The oldest and youngest MP's in the house, in the same term.
5. PM returns for 2nd term after 15 years retirement.
6. The First Female DPM.

Well Done Malaysia.
The sun rises brighter today.

We have witnessed the Death of kleptocracy, and the Rebirth of Democracy.

NEGARAKU TANAH TUMPAHNYA DARAHKU!

Key People that made it happened

One of the key person who did a great ground work was Rafizi. We all owe him a great deal. Before Invoke, it was only ceramahs which only attracted the already converted. With Invoke, he was the first to penetrate the rural folks. Day and night he was travelling on the truck with his wife and son giving ceramah after ceramah.  Then he got most of our young ones on board. It practically laid the foundation for Tun M to use his influence on the Malay heartland. We owe the victory to this self-sacrificing man.

BN Intelligence Predicted BN Loss

Why did Tun Mahathir went to PKR, DAP to form Pakatan Harap?

1) Malaysia Kini - by WILLIAM DE CRUZ, former Global Bersih president

Setting a world benchmark in reclaiming democracy
William de Cruz
10 May 2018, 4:20 pm (Updated 10 May 2018, 4:52 pm)

Malaysians set a world benchmark, a gold standard in how to reclaim democracy against all odds yesterday.

The government coalition that had lorded over a country with various alliances for 61 years threw everything against its citizens for the 14th general election - the judiciary, the police, the universities system, the election commission, its very parliament, race and religion.

Gerrymandering and malapportionment saw some federal constituencies with as little as a few thousand voters sit side-by-side with seats that housed more than 150,000 registered voters.

This was a voting population that saw its very government as adversary.

Yet, like no other country in modern history, millions turned up yesterday and overthrew a murderous, corrupt regime without shedding one drop of blood.

There were no riots, no looting, burning of cars, homes or shops, ugly manifestations of religious or racial bigotry, ignorance or intolerance.

Instead, the people of a multi-racial country that is home to the world's fastest-growing religion, Islam, as well as the two biggest races on the planet, Chinese and Indians, embraced one another to rise above despots, division, discrimination and the albatross of the voting system itself, to unseat a prime minister and coalition that would have sold Malaysian down the drain in return for self-preservation, enrichment and aggrandisement.

The plot twists and ironies that led Malaysia to this historic day could not have been better scripted by the best of Hollywood.

Two men, powerfully galvanising individuals who were each nemesis to the other for nearly two decades - Anwar Ibrahim and Dr Mahathir Mohamad - forged the most unlikely of political alliances.

One remains a prisoner, the other put him there in shameful circumstances that were played out under the glare of world media spotlights.

The prisoner has shown how the sheer power of forgiveness can transcend the most painful of pasts. The image of Anwar and Mahathir shaking hands as allies, at one of Anwar's more recent court appearances, is now regarded by many as the turning point for the alliance that is now government-in-waiting.

The jailor and nation-builder declares he has now to free Anwar.

The most honourable Lim Kit Siang, Malaysia's longest-standing patriot, a walking symbol of long-standing and unrelenting parliamentary opposition, and the epitome of statesmanship, has carried magnanimity and self-sacrifice to another plane entirely.

Lim has embraced Mahathir, who had also thrown him into jail, and placed his aspirations for Malaysia centre stage for the sake of a pact the likes of which no other country has seen.

And yesterday, out of racism, corruption and bigotry emerged unity, determination and a sense of purpose - to forge a new future, a new hope, a new country for ourselves and our children.

Malaysians have shown a uniqueness that is as palpable as it is inspiring, and we must give ourselves the time and space to be very, very proud of what we have achieved today.

We have snatched back democracy from the jaws of destruction, so Malaysia may be rebuilt all over, with the multi-racial, democratic and egalitarian ideals of its founding fathers and earliest patriots.

We have come from the race riots of May 13, 1969, to the multi-racial juggernaut of May 9, 2018. We fought back without bloodshed or violence.

We have returned “Merdeka” - freedom, independence - to our shores. The future is now full of promise, and it's a promise we made to ourselves.

The singular event of May 9 will powerfully resonate forever in our history as a glorious chapter in a people's tenacity.

Yesterday, Malaysians became a beacon to the rest of the world, and delivered a new lesson in non-violent opposition.

The world has not seen such a reversal of fortune as Malaysia's. We are a walking, living legacy.

This is Malaysia, like no other country in the world.

2) Emran A Wahid · Singapore

Tun M, Mat Sabu and Anwar family will leave a legacy as a great freedom fighters in Malaysian history books in the future. They replaces the Hang Tuah legacy. It is not hard to see Tun M works tirelessly to correct his wrongdoing in making Najib and the whole institution being abused. It is clear that the 92yr old man, repay Anwar by presenting him the PM role on the platter once Anwar is released. Deep inside Tun M, Anwar is the best and only candidate to succeed Tun M to lead tte country to greater hights. This I think the way Tun M wished to apologize to Anwar and his family, Mat Sabu and the nation at large. A true gentlemen will not only apologize and run away, but go beyond his physical means to correct what he has done wrong. Tun M is a gentleman and a great leader, but that is an understatement. Malaysians are blessed to have Tun M, a treasure that needs to be embraced and taken care of. Like all living things, death is imminent, I lost LkY and the pain is still there when I wake up each morning the things around me are the product of LKY’s stern policy and governance. Many like me wished we could do more to thank and appreciate his struggles when he was alive. I sincerely feel sorry and terrible when seeing Tun M at his so advanced age and fragile health gave speeches after speeches across the country everyday and night. I would never allow my father of 70yrs, if he is still alive now, to go thru the same.

So Malaysians, whether you favour him or Not is regardless, for all you know he must have his own agenda for his efforts, but you don't have much choice. firstly Najib must go, secondly PH under Tun M is your only hope of saving your country to his former glory, and I belive he is very sincere in restoring the once great Asian Tiger.

3) Making Infinity War 2 pale looking

Infinity war 2 is going to be an anti climax. We have already seen how despite holding the

Time stone - Wednesday election
Space stone - gerrymandering
Reality stone - fake news law
Power stone - money and machinery
Mind stone - mass media control
Soul stone - race and religion card

A guy can still be defeated in Malaysia.

The Bucket List of Pakatan Harapan (Alliance of Hope) are as follow:
New Msian PH Govt's Bucket List: 🗑👊👍

1.TDM will seek royal pardon for Annuar.
2.Sack the AG with  review of the Justice Ministry, RoS Chief, PDRM, MACC chief
3.Repeal LGE, Rafizi, Tony Pua pending court cases and get them squashed
4.Now the Penang Tunnel will get a go ahead.
5.Review ECRL project
6.Review all business projects of Najib's cronies.
7.Work hand in hand with DoJ to bring back JLow and Najib's step son to Malaysia, to face justice working hand in hand with Interpol.
8.Retrieve all the money stolen.
9.Seek extradition of Sirul, back from Australia to review and revive Atlantuya's murder trial.
10. Reopen the findings of the disappearance  of Pastor Raymond Koh
11.Reopen the court cases of murders of Morais...etc
12.Charge Najib and his chronic ministers and heads of ministries for abuse of power.
....

Sometimes, we can only appreciate why certain things happen in a certain way when we look behind and join the dots. If Mahathir did not sack Anwar in 1998, Anwar would not have formed a new Party. Over the years, the party formed as a result of a Anwar's expulsion from Umno gained strength. When the time was "ripe" events lead to Mahathir's anger and frustration that brought him to leave Umno and form a new opposition party. There is no way, DAP or Keadilan could bring down UMNO's coalition party. The  birth of Pakatan HARAPAN is a divine act to bring positive changes and it started 20 years ago..though we did not understand it then. Glad things are getting more clear to us as it unfolds....Mahathir, Anwar are just part of the divine play...the coming together of Lim Kit Siang, Anwar, Mahathir, Mohamad Sabu to take UMNO after 60 years is grand play by the Universe.🙏

ANNOUNCEMENT
NECF Call to pray for Malaysia.
Date: 11.4.18

Let's pray for MALAYSIA!

Scripture: Daniel 10:1-21
The Prime Minister has announced the dissolution of the Parliament on 7th April, 2018 to pave the way for GE14 to take place.

The Election Commission has set 9th May, 2018 as our election date.

Regardless of our “preferred outcome” for the election, we, as responsible citizens of the nation, should always be found praying for the well-being and destiny of our nation as mandated by the Holy Scriptures.

God’s servant Daniel was a model, who prayed for the land and served the nation whilst being exiled. On receiving a disconcerting vision, he set himself to mourn for three weeks, ate no choice food, no meat nor allowed wine to touch his lips and used no lotions (Daniel 10:2-3). His objective was to seek understanding of the vision and the times and its duration.

Daniel earnestly sought God for 21 days in prayer and fasting. In response, God heard his prayers, revealed His plans and strengthened him (Daniel 10:12).

NECF remains non-partisan, and this is not a call for a change of government, but a call to all our members to humbly seek God so that He will hear our prayers and His sovereign will be done in our nation and that all Malaysians will be blessed by God.

Our sincere desire is to see good men and women, from both sides of the divide elected into Parliament and into the State legislatures.

Like Daniel, we want to “set our heart to understand, and to humble ourselves before God” (Daniel 10:12).

This season to seek understanding of the times, is also a season for the Church to repent.

So much of what has been expounded in Revelation with regards to the “seven lampstands” are prevalent in our modern-day Church. Unless the Church is willing to put Him first, serve Him unreservedly, honor His Word, acknowledge we are all on a pilgrimage, and once again make His House a House of Prayer, we will not doubt like our forefathers “drink from the river and die in the wilderness.” (1 Cor 10:1-6; Psalms 78:16)

God will not use an unrepentant, prideful Church to be an agent of change in the nation. Today, both the Church and the nation need prayer.

With effect from 21st April, 2018, we will start our 21-Day of Prayer and Fasting,

As part of the preparation, let us do the following:

1. Clear your calendar to set aside this period of time to pray a minimum of 21 minutes at 2100 hour (9.00pm) for 21 days, every day.

2. For the next 21 days, get your family involved or organize a small group of like-minded believers to pray together (create social media eg. Whats App group to remind and encourage one another).

3. Decide on the type of fast you and your group will be doing. eg no meat; no dinner; no media; etc…and continually encourage each other.

4. And pray for the following:

A. Before the Election: 21st  April to 8th May (Day 1-18)

Church:

1. The Church to humble herself before the Lord (1 Peter 5:6)
2. The Church to seek the Lord (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Nation:

1. The eyes of the Nation to be enlightened (Ephesians 1:17-18)
2. The Nation to hope in God (Isaiah 45:22)

 B. During the Election: 9th May (Day 19)

Church:

1. The Church will arise and shine (Isaiah 60:1)
2. The Church to sow in righteousness (Hosea 10:12)

Nation:

1. The Fear of God to overshadow their hearts (Proverbs 9:10)
2. The Lord to direct their path (Proverbs 16:9)

C. After the Election: 10th & 11th May (Day 20-21)

Church

1. The Church to be ceaseless in prayer (Isaiah 62:6-7)
2. The Church as the House of Prayer to be restored (Mark 11:17)

 Nation

1. The rulers will govern with justice and righteousness (Proverbs 14:34)
2. The land will be blessed with peace (Leviticus 26:6)

Let us humbly submit ourselves to the Holy Spirit’s guidance as we take this 21-Day journey.

Daily devotionals will be sent out to help us in our prayer time.

May God bless you as you seek to be a blessing to the Church and our beloved nation.

Sincerely,

Rev Andy Chi
Assistant Secretary-General

10 War Room Prayers for Our Nation

Dear Brothers & Sisters,
This was a call made to the churches in the US during their last elections. I feel it is also applicable for us, right now.

It’s clear we need to wage war on our knees...

As a child of God, it is our responsibility to join the fight. Not in some political campaign or with comments and arguments on Facebook, or just complaining... but on our knees, with the Word of God spread out in front of us....

Let’s turn off the news and news feeds and let’s spend ten minutes a day praying these scriptures for our nation.

We have weapons strong enough to destroy strongholds.

II Chronicles 7:14

Lord, You promise that when your people pray, humble themselves, and seek You, You will hear and answer. You even promise healing in the land.  Lord, our land needs healing and I believe it starts with me. I humble myself before You right here, right now. I’m seeking Your face. I ask You to grant me a repentant spirit so I may be an instrument that ushers in Your blessing for this nation.

Psalms 33:12

Lord, Your blessing has been upon this nation and I thank You for your kind mercies! But Your word says the blessed nation is the one whose God is the Lord and our nation need You to be Lord over this land.  Father, on behalf of myself and my people, I confess our disregard of You. Bring Your people to repentance and let Your church arise, strongholds be broken and pour Your Spirit afresh and bring forth a spiritual revival, like never before.

Proverbs 14:34

Righteousness exalts a nation, Lord. Not flagrant personalities, injustice and corruption. Not the boastful pride of man or “progressive” lifestyles or quick talking politicians who present themselves as the solution for the world.  Righteousness, Lord, righteousness is what we need. Oh Lord, let Your righteousness rain down on us and spring up from within every home and community in our land!

Proverbs 9:10

Lord, help us not to be fearful what men can do for these men do not fear You. I humble myself before You to beseech Your mercies on behalf of a people who don’t fear or acknowledge You. Forgive us, Father! Strike a fear in the heart of Your people and those who oppose You! Show us the seriousness of our sin and the holiness of Your majesty. Let us see and understand You as God… King… Sovereign One… Ruler of heaven and earth. And let us be wise!

Matthew 16:18

Lord, You promise that the gates of hell will not overcome Your church. You have a people and You have a plan that will not fail. No matter what, Your purposes will prevail. You are in Your church and indwell Your people. In this we take great hope. Strengthen Your people, Lord! Strengthen Your church in this country! Let us rise to the battle cry and faithfully stand firm! Stir up our passions and desires for purity, holiness, and intimacy with You. Let us walk in the unquenchable fire of Your Spirit.

II Corinthians 6:17

God, call Your people to come out and be separate. All across this land, call  Your people to set aside worldly wisdom, pride and appearances, materialism, the need for approval, idolatry of all sorts. Lead us out and lead us up. Make this country a holy nation, a royal priesthood, set apart for worthy purposes. Stir in each and every heart to come out and be different!

Isaiah 6:1

Oh Lord, we need to see You as You truly are, not as what others say You are. Let Your people see You high and lifted up! Let us see You as holy. Let us understand Your nature, character, and sovereignty. Let us know Your word. Sweep across this land and reveal Yourself like never before. Let us know You, God!

Isaiah 60:1

Cause each of Your children to shine brightly in this dark land, Lord. Let each light take it’s place on a lampstand and draw others to You. May those without Christ see our good works and glorify You. We pray that many will come to know You and confess You as Lord.

Daniel 2:21

Lord, we believe in Your sovereignty. We know You are the One who sets up rulers and kings. You hold all things in Your Hands. We pray for our leaders and future leaders…and those who elect them… to have wisdom, knowledge, and discernment, for these things come from You.

Matthew 6:10

We pray for Your Kingdom to come, Your will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. We know Your will is for righteousness, salvation, and truth. We pray for these things to define our lives, our marriages, our homes, our communities, and our nation. We ask for Your church to be vessels that usher in Your Kingdom and fulfill Your will. Grant us, Your servants, success as we seek to glorify Your name.

 Amen 🙏🏼

There you have it, 10 war time scriptures to pray for our nation.

Rukun Negara - A Declaration of The National Philosophy

They said the last one was screwed by the Generation Y voters.
They said they are the ones that have forgotten their roots.
Perhaps, history was taught too shallow,
and they have become unpatriotic,
and become ignorant of the nation's fore-fathers' sacrifices and contributions.
With a stroke of the pen, they have voted out the long-time popular guys.
That was 2008 as the political analysts reported after the GE12.

Today is 2013, we are going through GE13.
What has happened in the past five years ?
We have a Prime Minister who is determined to reach to the Generation Y.
He started a Facebook account.
He started talking to the people (Rakyat).
He set up Think-Tanks for education
and they advised him to make history a compulsory subject to pass in 2013.
History in SPM exam will be 3 papers and 6 hours 30 minutes long.
This is serious business, and his team believes this will work.
To turn the Generation Z around since we have lost the Generation Y.

To make the kids more patriotic,
kindergarten education was reformed
and the Prime Minister's wife got a PhD for promoting early childhood education.
The advisors are very serious,
that Rukun Negara (declaration of national philosophy) be taught from age 3 onwards.
The results are hilarious, some kids are still saying Malaysia has a lot of prawns.
They read : Kedaulatan "Udang-Udang" (Prawns) instead of "Undang-Undang" (Law).

GE13 will see the youngest of GenerationY starting to vote.
This is the third time that Gen Y will be voting.
In the coming GE14, Generation Z will start voting,
they are the ones that will be forced to sit for 3 papers of History.
I guess the kids will not forget.
They have good memory of what the government has been doing.

National Philosophy that Malaysia is built upon
The Idealist's Malaysia

Its hard enough to memorise all five of the Rukun Negara,
to say them with convincing conviction is harder.
